Rules of Composition
The placement of items within an image is called "Composition". There are rules of composition to enhance the presentation of a scene. There are many rules of composition, and you can use several of them in an image, or just one rule, and sometimes using no rule at all. Over time you will learn various rules of composition and how to apply them to your photographs.
