Photography Websites for Inspiration

There are several websites that specialize in sharing photography.  I am going to talk about two of them here:

1) Flickr (https://www.flickr.com) - this was one of the first websites for sharing photography.  It's great for getting your photographs out there, but a lot of people just upload every picture they take, so it is hard to find "good" photos to see, but there are literally millions of photos you can view, and you can create your own free account to share photos.

2) 500.px (https://500px.com - this site is blocked on campus) - this website came along later, and it is different from Flickr in regards to finding great photos.  Whenever a photo is uploaded, it is ranked by other members, the highest voted images show up on the first page.  Therefore the first page of any category (portraits, landscapes, etc.) has only incredible photos.  The longer a photo is online, the lower its score goes, therefore the first page only has the latest and greatest pictures on display.  You can also create your own free account to share your photos.
